Open Source

ahdis is committed to the development of open-source digital health projects. We can advise you on which application is most suitable for your needs and, if necessary, extend the project according to your specifications. We also provide support to ensure that these micro-services are up to date and running reliably in your environment.

  • Matchbox

Matchbox is our open-source initiative for validating FHIR-based solutions and transforming healthcare data into HL7 FHIR, the standard for healthcare interoperability. Matchbox is used for validation at IHE Connectathons for the International Patient Summary as well as at Swiss Projectathons for validation of Swiss FHIR exchange formats. In addition, Matchbox enables the transformation from CDA to FHIR or supports the conversion of forms to FHIR.

  • Mobile Access Gateway

The Mobile Access Gateway (MAG) is open-source software for implementing the Swiss EPR mHealth specifications. It enables a primary system or mobile application to connect to the EPR via FHIR. The Mobile Access Gateway provides an FHIR API and translates it into the IHE interfaces required by a community for the EPR. For example, CHUV and HCI use the Mobile Access Gateway to connect eMedication to CARA.

  • Husky

The Husky (Heath Usability Key) project provides a Java library that facilitates the implementation of IHE interfaces, such as those required for the Swiss electronic patient record (EPR).

  • ahdis has been supporting us for years with commitment and competence in the development of standards-based specifications for eHealth applications and in technical questions related to FHIR. I greatly appreciate the in-depth expertise and reliability; without ahdis' help, we probably would not have found a solution to many problems yet.

Patrick Jolo, Exchange Formats & Semantics, eHealth Suisse - Competence and Coordination Office of the Confederation and the Cantons

  • The specialists at ahdis have been supporting us with their profound knowledge for several years, both conceptually and operationally, in the use of international standards and established exchange formats in the field of medication. Thanks to this close cooperation, HCI Solutions AG has been able to develop forward-looking products that improve the treatment processes in the field of medication across systems and organizations, which are highly accepted by software partners and authorities throughout Switzerland.

Neslihan Sali, Head of Marketing & Sales, HCI Solutions AG

  • In cooperation with ahdis, we were successful in implementing the exchange format for cancer registration as an innovative FHIR implementation guide. ahdis supported us expertly and straightforwardly in the use of modern standards to implement interoperability.

Martin Stierlin, Research Assistant, Federal Office of Public Health

  • ahdis is our longstanding and multifaceted partner in the field of eHealth, and their innovative spirit and passion for this environment makes them a highly valuable partner for us. On one hand, the Institute for Medical Informatics I4MI benefits from their competent, expert knowledge for projects in the field of digitalization in the healthcare sector. On the other, the medical informatics students of the Bern University of Applied Sciences BFH gain well-founded know-how on standardization through presentations by ahdis and common projects.

Serge Bignens, Head of Institute for Medical Informatics I4MI, Bern University of Applied Sciences

  • ahdis is a valuable partner of IHE Services, the operational branch of IHE Europe, and has supported us in the proper adoption of the Swiss interoperability specification into the test tools that are part of the EPR reference environment. We really appreciate the professionalism of its members, their positive and collaborative spirit, and their dedication to creating practical, sustainable, and long-lasting results.
